PREMIUM SEAT PACKAGE SOLD OUT!\nTicket price listed includes ticket fees. Taxes are calculated upon checkout. \nOld Crow Medicine Show will return to rooms where it all began this spring with the O.C.M.S. Big Iron World Tour: Back to the Roots—a series of intimate shows celebrating the band’s earliest recordings and some of the places where those songs first took shape. \nOn this tour\, the band will perform their first two label releases—O.C.M.S. and Big Iron World—in their entirety. The setlists will trace the foundation of Old Crow’s catalog\, played in smaller venues where the band first stopped in the early days\, many of which they haven’t returned to in years. \nThe performances will be presented in a more stripped-down configuration\, emphasizing the songs themselves—built to carry their weight without spectacle\, production tricks\, or distance from the audience. It’s a return to closeness: songs played up close\, in rooms where every word and harmony matters. \nTogether\, the Back to the Roots tour and the vinyl releases reflect a band that has helped define the modern American roots movement—and continues to lead it. By returning to these songs\, these rooms\, and this way of playing\, Old Crow Medicine Show underscores what they’ve always done best: push tradition forward\, expand the reach of string-band and folk music\, and remind audiences that songs built with care and conviction can last\, travel\, and keep finding new life. \nVisit Old Crow Medicine Show for more info.

SUMMARY:Rakish
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Deal Moseley di Santi Garrett & Martin\, LLP\nRakish\n\n\n\n\n\nPURCHASE TICKETS FOR RAKISH\n\n\n\n\n\nSunday\, March 15\, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. / Doors open at 6:30 p.m.\nSTANDARD- $15\nSTUDENT – $9 \nAll Seating is Reserved. All Ages (children under 17 admitted with parent/legal guardian)\nThis venue uses All-In Pricing. The total price listed includes ticket fees. Taxes are calculated upon checkout. \nRooted in tradition with an ear toward the future\, contemporary folk duo Rakish embody earnest musical exploration and an infectious playfulness on their new album Now\, O Now. Fiddler Maura Shawn Scanlin\, acclaimed for her expressive playing\, was raised in North Carolina’s Appalachian Mountains. Her songwriting and clawhammer banjo technique hint at regional old-time ballads. Further north\, guitarist Conor Hearn grew up steeped in the venerated Washington\, D.C. Irish music scene and developed a keen interest in literature and poetry. His setting of James Joyce’s poetry on the title track as well as “Lightly Come or Lightly Go” epitomizes the duo’s approach: the dexterous alchemy of the old and the new into something wholly Rakish. \nThe pair’s deep musical connection and unbridled love for pushing traditional sounds forward is striking. Just listen to the fiddling on “765” featuring trancey electronic dance production by Jamie Oshima or the epic tune “The Morning Glory” which is set atop an evocative\, melancholic drone. It’s clear Rakish refuses to be pigeonholed into one genre and are most comfortable occupying the inbetween. On Now\, O Now they journey through Celtic and Americana styles\, deftly showcasing how to bring forth something new from the deep well of tradition. \nVisit RAKISH to learn more.

The total price listed includes ticket fees. Taxes are calculated upon checkout. \nSouthern Hospitality – In this rapid-fire\, hilarious romp\, the Futrelle Sisters-Frankie\, Twink\, Honey Raye and Rhonda Lynn-are in trouble again. This time\, their beloved hometown\, Fayro\, Texas\, is in danger of disappearing and it’s up to the sisters to save it from extinction. But their plans to do so quickly go haywire. \nHoney Raye\, with a major assist from her former nemesis\, Geneva Musgrave\, comes up with a solution to bring back businesses and residents. It seems a salsa manufacturing factory is looking to relocate and a company representative is headed to Fayro on a scouting mission. Honey Raye makes promises that are not to be believed in order to woo the rep to choose Fayro. In fact\, Honey Raye has told them that on the very weekend of the rep’s visit just four days away\, the town happens to be having their biggest celebration of the year: “Fayro Days\,” which includes a craft show\, a pet costume parade\, a beauty pageant and a huge battle reenactment. Problem? That’s news to the citizens of Fayro who have to quickly band together to make her promises a reality. \nAdded to this is the dilemma of Twink being so desperate to get married that she’s dragging the unwilling groom\, Deputy John Curtis Buntner\, to the altar. Frankie\, however\, seems to have it worst of all\, what with her husband\, Dub\, going through a major mid-life crisis at the same time her five-year-old twins are literally tearing up the town. And unfortunately for all of them\, the “meanest woman in twelve counties\,” Dub’s wicked\, old Aunt Iney\, is on her way for a visit. Iney’s arrival in Fayro is definitely cause for alarm for the sisters; but it’s nothing compared to Rhonda Lynn’s panic when she causes the old girl to drop dead in the Dubberly home just before the salsa rep shows up. But how the Futrelle sisters and the other citizens of Fayro\, including sweet\, simple\, Raynerd Chisum\, pull together and save their town is a testament to Southern strength and ingenuity-and a recipe for total hilarity. \nFor more information and events please visit https://www.facebook.com/bsctboone/ \nProduction Note:\nThis event is a rental engagement presented by BeanStalk Community Theatre.

SUMMARY:The Grascals
DESCRIPTION:Milton Harkey presents\nThe Grascals\nWith Olivia Jo\n\n\n\n\n\nPURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE GRASCALS\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, March 7\, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. / Doors open at 6:15 p.m.\nSTANDARD- $35\nSTUDENT – $16 \nAll Seating is Reserved. All Ages (children under 17 admitted with parent/legal guardian)\nThis venue uses All-In Pricing. The total price listed includes ticket fees. Taxes are calculated upon checkout. \nFew bands have made as lasting an impact on bluegrass music as The Grascals. From the very beginning\, their blend of modern traditional bluegrass\, gospel\, and country influences\, matched with world-class musicianship and an unshakable love for the genre\, has earned them a spot among the most respected and enduring groups in acoustic music. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFormed in 2004 in Nashville\, Tennessee\, The Grascals are a band built on friendship\, shared roots\, and a common vision to create bluegrass music that honors tradition while forging its own identity. Their breakout moment came fast—within months of forming\, they were hand-picked by Dolly Parton to serve as her opening act and backing band on tour. That early endorsement set the tone for the band’s trajectory: respected by legends\, loved by fans\, and celebrated by the industry. \nTheir debut album\, The Grascals announced their arrival with authority. It won IBMA’s Emerging Artist of the Year and Album of the Year and included a duet with Dolly Parton on “Viva Las Vegas” that showcased their versatility and crossover appeal. From there\, the accolades kept coming with two IBMA Entertainers of the Year awards\, three GRAMMY nominations\, a Dove Award nomination and a host of other awards and recognition.  Now with thirteen albums\, performances all over the world and for two United States Presidents\, The Grascals can truthfully say they have the best of both worlds — the steadiness of a veteran group that knows who they are and where they’re going\, and the excitement and energy of an ensemble that knows it still has something to prove. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe band’s collaborative spirit is another hallmark of their career. In addition to Dolly Parton\, The Grascals have recorded and toured with artists including Charlie Daniels\, Vince Gill\, Kenny Rogers\, Hank Williams Jr.\, George Jones\, The Oak Ridge Boys\, Patty Loveless\, Dierks Bentley\, Brooks & Dunn\, Brad Paisley\, Joe Nichols\, Steve Wariner\, The Jordanaires\, Tom T. DESCRIPTION:The Appalachian Theatre presents\nTuba Skinny\n\n\n\n\n\nPURCHASE TICKETS FOR TUBA SKINNY\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday\, February 20\, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. / Doors open at 7:00 p.m.\nSTANDARD- $29\nSTUDENT – $15 \nAll Seating is Reserved. All Ages (children under 17 admitted with parent/legal guardian)\nThis venue uses All-In Pricing. The total price listed includes ticket fees. Taxes are calculated upon checkout. \nFor over a decade Tuba Skinny has grown steadily in popularity\, releasing twelve albums and touring all over the world. They’ve attracted a wide variety of fans- young and old\, neophytes and niche-enthusiasts- with the strength of their musicianship and the scope of their jazz and American roots music catalog. \nWhile they’ve become known as world-class interpreters of traditional jazz\, over the years they’ve branched out into jug band music\, spirituals\, country blues\, string band music\, ragtime\, and New Orleans R&B. Their approach is a true reflection of Americana\, encompassing the full genealogy of popular American music from an early 20th century perspective. \nDespite a general lack of interest in social media and a limited release of their music online\, they’ve amassed an enthusiastic digital following. \nAfter a decade of playing (mostly) other artist’s songs\, Tuba Skinny decided to fulfill a long-time dream with the release of Magnolia Stroll- their first album of all-original tunes. Featuring compositions from Erika\, Shaye\, Robin\, Barnabus\, Craig\, and Max\, it is their love song to all the musicians\, living and dead\, who have inspired them\, as well as to the neighborhoods of New Orleans that have nurtured them. \nVisit Tuba Skinny to learn more.

DESCRIPTION:Toy Sheep Microcinema\, Awesome Space and the Appalachian Theatre present\nOh\, Canada!\nFriday\, January 16\, 2026 at 8:30 p.m. / Doors open at 8:00 p.m.\nFree Admission – Open to the Public Donations appreciated to support Toy Sheep Microcinema Film Series.\nThis program is unrated but recommended for adults.\nAll Seating is General Admission\nOn Friday\, January 16\, the Appalachian Theatre\, Awesome Space\, and Toy Sheep Microcinema begin their wild Spring 2026 season with “Oh Canada! Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Winnipeg Film Group\,” featuring two movies: the short SISSY BOY SLAP PARTY (Guy Maddin\, 2004\, 6 minutes) and the feature CRIME WAVE (John Paizs\, 1985\, 80 minutes). \nWhat is the Winnipeg Film Group? From their mission statement: “[We are] an artist-run education\, production\, support\, exhibition\, and distribution centre committed to advancing the art of the moving image.” WFG’s done all this and more\, including supporting the careers of internationally acclaimed directors (including Matthew Rankin\, whose UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE is on many “Best of 2025” lists) and nurturing an oddball aesthetic that Toronto critic Geoff Pevere calls “Prairie Post-Modern.” \nIt’s impossible to cover all WFG’s achievements on January 16\, though Toy Sheep programmer Craig Fischer will hit some highlights in his introduction. Craig’s also programmed two films central to WFG history: SISSY BOY SLAP PARTY (2004)\, a wacky smash-up of homoeroticism\, early sound film style\, and the Three Stooges by Guy Maddin\, the most famous WFG alumnus\, and CRIME WAVE (1985)\, John Paizs’ lively tale of Kim\, a precocious pre-teen\, Steven Penny\, a would-be screenwriter of “colour crime movies\,” and Dr. Jolly\, a Hank Williams impersonator who volunteers to collaborate with Steven on a screenplay for nefarious reasons. \nAs Thomas Scalzo writes on the NOT COMING TO A THEATER NEAR YOU website: “Aside from its inviting world\, what makes CRIME WAVE so fascinating\, and worthy of multiple screenings\, is that it is not only a tale of a young screenwriter attempting to find his voice\, but also a visualization of a young filmmaker’s struggle to find his voice […] Paizs is constantly experimenting with styles and subjects\, never falling back on telling his story in a predictable or conventional way.” \nAnd now CRIME WAVE is\, in fact\, coming to a theater near you!

SUMMARY:Toy Sheep Microcinema: Game Night
DESCRIPTION:The last Toy Sheep Microcinema event of 2025 presents Game Night. \nToy Sheep’s first screening\, in September 2023\, was DUSTY STACKS OF MOM: THE POSTER PROJECT (2013)\, Jodie Mack’s animated musical about the closing of her mother’s mail-order poster business. Since then\, Toy Sheep attendees have begged for more Mack\, and here’s a wild one: RAD PLAID\, which presents images of fabrics that encourage us to scream at the screen! As Blake Williams describes the rules for watching RAD PLAID: “People in the room are invited to team up\, so that half the room shouts ‘Plaid!’ when vertical lines appeared on the screen\, while the other half shouts ‘Rad!’ at the sight of horizontal lines\, establishing a sense of division and an air of competition.” And once everyone starts playing and yelling\, Mack starts introducing variations\, so come with your eyes wide open and your voice ready to roar. \nSince 1970\, Hollis Franpton’s ZORNS LEMMA has been considered a classic of avant-garde cinema\, praised for its elegant structure—its fugue-like replacement of the Roman alphabet with a collection of images—and the unique spell it casts over spectators. People like ZORNS LEMMA just the way it is. But one night last February\, Toy Sheep programmer Craig Fischer fell asleep during a raging fever\, woke up at 3:17am\, and quietly whispered\, “I dreamed of a game we can play as we watch ZORNS LEMMA\,” and he’s worked on the game ever since. It’s like Bingo\, but sometimes with pictures\, and it goes really\, really fast\, as guinea pigs will find out at the screening. Prizes will be won\, minds will be melted\, history will be made\, and fun will be had. “The Cat doth play / And after\, Slay…” \nJoin us for what may be our most unique Toy Sheep show yet!
