Work This Week
Crews will continue working in the area of the culvert behind South End, with activity scheduled Monday through Friday. Weather permitting, the installation of the concrete headwall and endwall is planned for this week.
Progress to Date
Crews have been digging and preparing the culverts in advance of the concrete pour. Despite challenging weather, steady progress has been made.
Parking Reminder
Once the culvert work is complete, the road will be closed to all vehicular traffic for approximately one to two weeks to allow for hardscape work. This phase includes the installation of concrete borders along the street and asphalt for the roadway. For those with private parking lots, outreach will take place this week to discuss next steps.
Please note that parking along the road will not be possible during this period. As construction shifts to concrete work, parking-related issues will become increasingly impactful. Vehicles blocking the road or interfering with construction will be subject to towing in order to keep the project moving forward.
With students back in town, we strongly encourage securing alternative parking now if you have not already done so.
