 October First Friday Events:


Beginning at 4pm at the Watauga County Public Library there will be a joyful celebration of magic with Caleb Sigmon as he presents The Wizard Experiment.

The Jones House will have two wonderful events for First Friday:  

Beginning at 5:30 The Watauga County Historical Society is pleased to sponsor a book signing event to accompany the release of Rufus Edmisten’s autobiography, That’s Rufus: A Memoir of Tarheel Politics (McFarland Publishing).
Then, until 8:00pm they will be open to host our First Friday Art Gallery Reception entitled: Western Carolina’s Finest: Applachian Theatre History Exhibit


Ransom Pub has Momma Molasses playing from 6:00pm until 8:30pm.  Then at 9pm they will have their second Latin Dance Boone.   

The arts are alive at the Turchin Center and everyone is invited to the Fall Exhibition Celebration-an opportunity for art lovers to explore exhibitions in six galleries, meet the artists, listen to and ARTtalk and live music of the Belleville Rendezvous and enjoy refreshments and a cash bar.  There will be some extra special activities planned from 8-10 pm including dancers, art activities, a photo booth and a hula hoop troupe!

Carolina Pizza will have $2 Beer special and apple cider mimosas!

Boone Saloon will have a live music tribute to 1984!

Foggy Pine Books will have free wine, a giveaway, 10% off everything, and a spooky book display where everything will be 15% off during Art Crawl!

Lost Province Brewing will be featuring live music by Patrick Crouch Duo from 7:30-10:30pm

The Nth Degree Gallery will be featuring “Zerbert Zeitgeists” works by Matt Crinkley beginning at 7:30pm.  

Lucky Penny will be featuring App State alumni Jacqueline Trivette from 6-9pm!

Raining Sunshine Co. will be doing FAIRY HAIR at Lililu!
