First Friday Art Crawl
Downtown Boone First Fridays are a wonderful opportunity to visit downtown galleries and businesses and to enjoy art showings, refreshments, and live entertainment.
June’s First Friday will include:
Jones House Cultural and Community Center will kick off their summer concert series on Friday, June 1 at 5 pm with the Junaluska Gospel Choir and Soul Benefactor! The concerts are free – all you need to bring is a blanket or chair to sit on. The concerts happen rain or shine every Friday evening in June, July and August. The Watauga County Public Library will host a performance by Down to Earth aerials on the front lawn of the Library from 4 pm until 5 pm on Friday, June 1. Down to Earth Aerials offers some of the finest and unique aerial performers from around the world, who combine remarkable strength, extreme flexibility, and creativity. First Fridays happen the first Friday of every month except for January. Gallery reception times vary, but most First Friday events begin at 5:00 p.m. and conclude around 8:00 p.m.
