It was a challenging week with weather and cleanup delays, but steady progress continued in the culverts. Crews also installed mud mats to protect the work area during frequent downpours.
What are mud mats?
A mud mat is a thin layer of concrete placed over prepared soil to provide a clean, stable surface. It keeps reinforcement clean, prevents contamination of the main concrete, and makes construction easier.
Parking Reminder
When the culvert work wraps up, the road will close to vehicles for 1–2 weeks for hardscape improvements, including concrete borders and asphalt. Roadside parking won’t be available during this period, so please plan for alternate options in advance. Vehicles blocking the work zone may be towed.
