Last Week
Big news-the endwall was poured! Crews wrapped up that milestone, which means we’ve officially moved into the cleanup phase of the culvert work.

This Week
Work will continue in the same area, focusing on cleanup and backfilling the large holes. Crews will also finish a sewer tie-in and complete some low-voltage receptacle work, so you’ll still see activity in that area.

What are headwalls and endwalls?
A headwall is the concrete wall at the front of the culvert where water flows in, while the endwall is the wall at the other end where water flows out. Together, they help stabilize the culvert, protect the roadway, and guide water safely through.

Parking Reminder
We are getting closer to limited hardscape work, which will bring significant changes to parking and traffic patterns. Once paved, the road will shift back to one-way traffic, and roadside parking will no longer be allowed. If you currently rely on parking along the street, now is the time to secure alternatives.

The limited hardscape work will include concrete borders and a paved roadway, though some sections will remain gravel for a while. Adjusting to this new traffic flow may take some time, and planning ahead will make the transition smoother.

Each milestone brings us closer to a finished street that will serve downtown for years to come. Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as this project takes shape.
