Weather permitting, crews are expected to begin work on the duct bank starting behind Footsloggers and progressing toward Appalachian Street. This phase of the project is more detailed and time-intensive than the water, sewer, and stormwater work completed to date.
During this work, the road will be closed in the immediate area where crews are actively working. Access will remain available on either side of the construction zone, but through traffic will not be able to pass the active work area.
Last Week
Crews wrapped up most of the utility box installation between Depot Street and Burrell Street. They also began cleaning out the conduits in preparation for the next phase of the project: relocating overhead utility lines underground.
