Work continues along Howard Street as crews pick back up where they left off in the King Street pay lot (directly behind The Social) and continue progressing toward Appalachian Street.
This phase of duct bank installation looks a little different from the earlier section between Depot and Burrell, where most of the work stayed within the roadway. On this side, crews are extending into adjacent parking areas to connect new conduit to existing infrastructure, similar to what you may have seen in the Espresso News lot and what is currently underway in the King Street pay lot.
As work advances, the next area of impact will be the parking lot directly behind Town Hall. Please note that this lot will be inaccessible while this portion of the work is taking place.
Last Week
Duct bank installation continued steadily along Howard Street. While progress can feel slow at times, this is an important step forward in the project and moves us closer to reducing overhead utilities along the corridor.
