We’ve officially reached an exciting milestone, the first section of the limited hardscape phase is complete! This phase offers a first glimpse of what the finished Howard Street project will look like and marks a major step forward in transforming the corridor.
This Week
Crews have shifted to the other section of Howard Street, from Wildwood Community Market to Burrell Street. Work in this area includes installing the concrete borders of the roadway followed by a base layer of asphalt.
This section is closed to all vehicular access beginning Monday, October 20, and the closure is expected to last about two weeks, weather permitting.
Looking Ahead
Once the limited hardscape phase is complete from Depot Street to Burrell Street, crews will turn their attention to the next section — Appalachian Street to Depot Street.
