This Week
Crews will resume work focused on preparing the new water line to go into service. This phase includes flushing the line, pressure testing, chlorination, and installing individual service connections.
As businesses are transitioned from the old water line to the new one, there will be temporary, property-specific water service interruptions. Advance notice will be provided ahead of any switchovers. Please note that frigid temperatures may impact the pace of this work.
Last Week
Crews installed the remaining 393 linear feet of water line, officially completing all water line installation along Howard Street. With both water and sewer infrastructure now fully installed from Appalachian Street to Burrell Street, only a small section of stormwater work remains before the project shifts into the duct bank phase.
As always, thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we make steady progress on these critical infrastructure improvements. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
