THIS WEEK:
Construction continues moving down Howard Street, with work shifting to the section beginning around Wildwood/The Local and moving toward Burrell Street. Crews will continue installing the new hardscape in this area, including sidewalks, the bike lane, benches, trash cans, recycling containers, and other streetscape infrastructure.
As work moves through this section, Howard Street will be closed to through traffic at the active construction area. Local access to businesses and properties will be maintained from either side of the closure.
LAST WEEK:
The first section on this side of Howard Street now has its new hardscape in place, including the sidewalk, bike lane, benches, trash cans, and other streetscape elements, and it is really starting to come together! Exciting times!
SPECIAL NOTES:
The remaining utility poles are still slated to be removed, so if you’re wondering about those, they are going away once all of the necessary service connections have been made.
