This Week
Crews are working in the same area where they’ve been this past week. The focus remains on moving toward asphalt installation while also completing additional preparation work needed before more concrete can be poured.
Last Week
Last week brought some exciting progress, especially as crews worked to prepare the area ahead of Boonerang. For the first time, you can really start to see the project taking shape. The outlines of future parking spaces are now visible (though they’re not ready for parking just yet), and you can begin to see where the new bike lanes and sidewalks will be when the project is complete.
We also know traffic patterns in this area are a little unusual right now. To maintain access to nearby parking lots, we’re currently using what will eventually be a one-way roadway as a temporary two-way road. We know it’s not ideal, but it allows us to keep access open while construction continues.
