This Week

Crews will continue working in the area behind the King Street and Town Hall parking lots this week. The primary goals are to pave the new roadway and bike path and begin connecting the parking lots to the new roadway.

With the Fourth of July holiday approaching, this will be a shorter construction week. Crews will be off on Friday, July 3, and Monday, July 6, in observance of the holiday.

Last Week

Crews accomplished a tremendous amount of concrete work last week, and for this section of the project you can really start to see everything coming together!

You may have noticed new parking stalls taking shape and a lot of fresh concrete throughout the area. While it’s exciting to see these features emerging, please do not park in these areas just yet. We will continue using what will eventually be a one-way roadway as a temporary two-way road to maintain access to the parking lots, and parked vehicles in these areas can make movement through the site difficult.

A fun way to see what’s coming next: the areas where you see clean gravel will eventually become hardscape areas, while the dirt sections will be transformed into landscaped spaces.

It’s amazing how much this project changes from day to day, and we’re incredibly thankful for the hard work of our contractor and crew as they continue making great progress. Thank you, as always, for your patience and support as we continue moving this project forward! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions 828-268-6283.
